another news service, plus another 10+ GB of binary downloading (VMware,
and ISOs) plus a further estimated 5 GB of streaming traffic (in one month)

The 14.99 account (and 18.99 account) which I use don't officially offer
access to the news service (Supernews) and the news service is limited
to 2x 128 kbps connections AFAIK, but Usenet may not be important to
the OP. The account I'm on is meant to be lowest priority but is OK: (A
speed test at 19:30 one night from Evolution level 1 can be seen at
