I installeed new Windows 2003 server standard with SP1 and all update. It
is configure as DC and he is behind firewall. I try to configure RAS on it
for VPN and dial-in. Everything work fine during installation.

I try to connect via vpn and dial-in and it give me an error 691 (user or
password are not valid on the domain). The user can connect on a
workstation on the network but not on VPN or dial-in. I granted the user
for dial-in access. I don't use IAS. On the server I got an error 20014. I
try many thing that I found on the Internet but nothing work.

Somebody havy hints for this problem?

Dany

I would check the security settings first. or check this page for more details.

VPN error code
VPN Error 691 - Access denied because username and/or password is invalid on the
domain · VPN Error 711 - The Routing and Remote Access service terminated ...

Are you using a domain username/password? Is the RRAS server a member of
the RAS and IAS server group?

I would also recommend you activate remote access policy on the server
and set the clients to use this rather than dialup permission.

Thank you

But I finally found my problem. I desactivated Accounting provider
because RAS have an error with it and I didn't know thi setting was
important for RAS. So I reactivate it and try to find the error with it.
So the log folder didn't exist so I create it and all my problem was
solve.

Tank you very much for help

Dany
