Did you try it? It is long awaited, but only in pre-release.

I'm still running the newer firmare and have not had ANY problems... woo
hoo! Plus the WPA, WPA-PSK is nice to have also... :-)

In case anyone is interested, here are the features for the newer
pre-release:
WPA and WPA-PSK wireless security modes
125 Mbps frame bursting enhancement
Dynamic wireless channel to avoid interference
Supports reception of Multicast streaming to LAN clients
Improved support for Netscape browsers

I've also installed this prerelease version on my 5480 router and 5416 pci
adapter. I experience that on starting up it seems to take like 3 minutes
before a connection is made. During that period everything else seems to be
frozen. There is a conflict between the pre release drivers and Grisoft
anti-virus software. It prevents the antivirus software to start on logging
in. You can only run it after the connections with the router is made. After
the connection is made I experience no additional problems.

I confirm the problem, using a U.S. Robotics 139106 router and a U.S.
Robotics 805416 PCI Wireless Card on a Windows XP SP2 computer.

Conflicts on system startup between new driver and F-Secure antivirus;
F-Secure startup hangs, system seems to freeze for two-three minutes
(not all kind of operations are possible): then, F-Secure regularly
completes startup and wireless connection is operative.

Operative system and antivirus software are updated with latest
patches; I tried to exclude drivers file and directories from
antivirus check, but anything change.

Absolutely no problems with drivers previous versions.
But this is the only driver version enabling WPA encryption on
805416!!!

Hoping on a new release...

Bye,
