networking works, then does not

I have installed a new ME machine on a network of 2 other
ME machines. I am using the same name as the machine I
replaced. I had the system working, but now and then it
needs to be restored to a previous point or else I get
the "network unavailable" errors and I cannot print. I
think the problem is as simple as my user name not
matching or something similar. How can I tell the user
and workgroup names the system thinks I have? I can then
do a restore and see if they are different. Also, why
would this happen? The machine works fine after the
restore, but 12 housrs later it need to be restored
again. Thanks very much.
