I don't know why, but sometimes XP's Network Setup diskette just won't
run on another computer.
Fortunately, there's no need to run the Wizard. You can make the same
settings manually that it would make. Go to Control Panel | Network
and:
1. Set the computer name, computer description, and workgroup name.
2. Install these network components if they're not already present:
a. Client for Microsoft Networks
b. TCP/IP
c. File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
3. Configure the local area network connection to obtain an IP
address automatically.
