I assume that you mean you have a Windows DHCP server. It is not
relevant what the DHCP server is, so long as it works. Just configure
the interface on Linux to use DHCP. I'm not familiar with Desktop L/X,
but it is supposed to be an "easy to configure" type of distro so
presumably it has a GUI interface for network configuration. If it is
trying too hard to be like Windows it may label the DHCP option
something like "obtain an IP address automatically" like Windows does.
In any case, it probably defaults to DHCP.

Set the Linux machine's default gateway to the address of the router.
You will also probably have to put your ISP's nameservers in
/etc/resolv.conf, unless you have one of your own.
If you want more help then you really need to say a bit more about what
your exact setup is, what you have already tried and what happened, as I
see you have been told before when asking this vague question.
Most people (round here anyway) would do this the other way round and
use Linux for the gateway/DHCP server and make the Windows machine the
client.
