Networking win98 and win23k

I have a win98 desktop and a win23K laptop. The 98 box is hooked on to
a linksys wireless router and cable modem.
Can you pl outline the steps to network the win98 desktop and the
win23k laptop.If I need to give any additional details, please let me
konw.
