Networking Win 98 to Win XP using wireless network

I recently set up a wireless network system in my home
and we like it very much. I am wondering if it is
possible now to create a network between my Windows XP
laptop and my Windows 98 computer, even though we are on
a wireless network. I would also like to be able to
access the printer that is connected to the Windows 98
desktop without having to be directly plugged into it. Is
that possible?

Sure you can. First, make sure both computers are in the same network. In
Win98, go into Network Properties and look at the Identification tab. In
WinXP right-click on My Computer, go to Properties and check Computer Name.
The workgroups should be the same.

Then, in Win98 Network Properties, select File and Print Sharing and make
sure "I want...Share my printer" is checked. Restart if required. Then
right-click on your printer, select sharing, and share the printer. Your
WinXP machine should see the printer (give it a couple of minutes to find
it).

You can do the same thing to file folders. Your WinXP already has a folder
shared by default.
