Networking through VPN Tunnel

I am looking for some help on configuration of my
servers. I have (2) offices connected via a VPN tunnel
(Fortinet Appliances) and servers at both locations
acting as domain controllers. The reason is so if the
connection fails they can operate as individual offices.
My VPN tunnel is up and working and I can ping and browse
via IP. I am unclear if I need to build trusts between
the separate IP networks (10.161.10.x and 10.161.20.x) so
I can have the global catalog etc to sync. IS there any
information out there that may help? I think that all I
need is to allow the (2) IP's to trust each other, am I
correct on this? Hopefully I have explained my needs
clear enough for someone to help or to guide me in the
right direction

Thanks

That is really an Active Directory question. You will probably get a
better response from that newsgroup. However I would change the wording
first. I think you are talking about domain trusts.

There are several things they will need to know. Are they in the same or
different forests? Are they W2k or W2k3 domains?

Domains and trusts have nothing to do with IP#s.
