Hi
I would suggest that you visit
www.practicallynetworked.com and
www.homenethelp.com and
www.smallnetbuilder.com for some initial
information about building a LAN. You won't lose any speed if you have a
Wireless setup, the cable modem connection is only 512Kbps, !Mbps or 2Mbps
- far slower than you router or LAN.
After you've read those web sites you may have (lots!!) of questions so I
suggest a visit to the Blueyonder or Routers sections of
www.cm-forums.co.uk Setting up a LAN, wired or wireless, has been discussed
many times in those groups.
