Networking Parallel and USB Printers

Help... Please!

I have:
o 2 PCs: One Win98 and one WinXP
o 2 Printers: A Parallel HP LaserJet 4L and a USB HP DeskJet 882c
o 1 4-port Network Anywhere (by LinkSys) NR041 Router

How do I connect the 2 printers to the router so both PCs can print to them?

Is this the best way to "network" this mess?

Thanks!

Steve

That model isn't a Linksys product, but a NetworkEverywhere product.

According to specs on their website, this model doesn't function as a print
server.

To network your printers, you'll need to physicaly connect them to one or
more PCs and share them from the PC side.

I love Linksys's little NetworkEverywhere NR041 router, Steve, and
I've installed a few of them for my consulting clients.

Unfortunately, you can't connect printers to it -- that requires a
print server. Here's a print server that should be ideal for your
setup, because it supports two parallel printers and one USB printer.
It works perfectly with my HP LaserJet 6P:

Connect the print server to one of the router's LAN ports. The XP
computer will be able to access the printers using standard TCP/IP
ports. You'll have to install D-Link's software on the Win98
computer.
