I am using the dlink 614+ wireless router to share a dialup connection with
a laptop with 650+ wireless card. I am going to be getting a oneway
wireless high speed internet connection. How would I have to set this up so
I can share the high speed connection. Do I need a second network card in
my desktop? One for the router and one for the modem or can the modem hook
into the 614+ router. Thanks

What you need is a Wireless Access Point (AP) - not a Wireless Router.
However, Wireless Routers can act as APs as well.

Wireles Routers don't support one-way internet connections so you'll need
to setup the PC with internet sharing software. Setup the Wireless
AP/Router in Infrastructure mode/AP mode only.

Your laptop will now be able to connect to the LAN and also to the internet
through your AP to PC.

Here's a diagram:

Internet -> PC -> Network -> AP -> Laptop

My setup is: modem into router, router to puter, puter to hub, and then from
the hub all the other machines (another four) get their Internet. You still
need some kind of sharing software. Like ICS (built into windows) or...I use
Wingate. The machine that connects to the router obviously needs *two*
ethernet cards in it. One to the modem/router, and one to connect to the
hub. That's the only machine that does need two cards.
