Simple, if you still have access to a dialup ISP. Test it from a PC
disconnected from your LAN on dialup (or from friend's or work connection
if possible). Dialup PPP may not be real quick, but a good test for
access from outside your LAN.
While my DSL ISP provides dialup as a backup or for travel, I also
maintain my old account at a local Unix ISP with static PPP IP in case I
want to limit access to that IP for testing.
