Need help networking my 2 home computers. They share an internet connection
through a router. When I go into Network Neighborhood I can see the other
computer's icon but when I double-click it, its not showing any files nor
folders. What step am I missing? Help! Thanks.

You need to turn on file sharing:

My Computer -> Control Panel -> Networking -> File sharing

You need to configure the service "File and Printer Sharing for
Microsoft Networks" in Control Panel - Networks.

After doing this and rebooting then you also need to configure
something as being shared, such as a hard drive, or hard drive folder;
or a printer.

To configure a driver or folder as shared, right-click on the item in
Windows Explorer and select Sharing.

To configure a printer as shared, open Control Panel - Printers,
right-click on the printer you want to share, select Properties and go
to the Sharing tab.

Good luck
