Hi Phil, feel free to join here and help people out but this isn't
really an appropriate place to advertise your business, if you are
helpful to and include some reference to your business in your signature
whilst doing so you will probably find that works quite nicely for you.

I'm not sure I'd be that keen on doing business with someone who
describes themself as a guru, I don't think have the double (and
pointless) sig with 2 broken sig-seps really helps convince people that
you earn that description either. I don't really see much on the good
old Dejagoogle archives that support the idea that would convince me
either, just quite a lot to convince me to probably steer clear. Some
people find listing your certs is a little bit 'wanky' too, but then
again I might just be a bit grumpy tonight because I can't sleep.

Cheers, Paul.

If you feel a need to help people how about you participate in the group
rather than restricting it to email and websites? Oh, I see, you're
touting for business on a group where advertising is forbidden.

I'm sure helping out with the group would be just fine.

Hmm, I don't think qouting qualifications, that may or may not be made
up, is impressing anyone. And the guru bit, I'd drop that unless you
want the name calling to start.

What happened here then?
Also, try not writing in capitals, it's really annoying, and on usenet
it's shouting. Shouting is rude.
And another thing, if you're trying out advertising, why not try to
get the grammar right?

Well I put the Certs there but, at least I don't use the "G" word :-)
I don't even like it when people refer to me with the term "guru",...I'm not
anywhere close to a Hindu.

I can't think of much use for a Site, anything I could think of someone else
is already doing or it's easily found on MS's Site,..so no point in
reinventing the wheel.

> but then again I might just be a bit grumpy tonight because I can't

sleep.

I think I'm like that most of the time,...I either can't sleep,..can't stay
awake,...or sometimes because I'm simply awake :-)

I don't like when people refer to me with the "G" word either, but I never
seen any name calling over it in a group. It might be interesting to see
what people come up with. Of course a lot of the IT industry has moved to
India in the last few years, but I don't think I could do it,....my legs go
numb if I sit crosslegged like that too long,...I'm getting old
