Thanks for the quick response. But neither the MAC address
or the IP address belong to us. We are connected with a
56K connection to the Main State Library Network. In
checking with them they tell me that the 169.254.145.111
IP address is a default Microsoft address.
Have not made any changes in hardware or software either.
Have updated virus definitions and run a complete scan
this a.m. No viruses detected.
In the meantime, I am now able to access both the Internet
and my email program.
