I have been trying to get my Powerbook to log onto the Small Business Server
I am running with no success. I have tried Apple Talk, SMB and IP. Each
time, the Mac says it can't find the server. Vice a versa from the Server
trying to find the mac. I have file sharing on and I believe I have all
other necessary services running. Any suggestions?

Same Problem!

I am trying to get my G4 with Panther into my SBS for
weeks. The only thing I found that worked flawlessly was
AdmitMAC from Thursby Software, but it ain't cheap. I
tried the demo and it worked. Don't install the demo if
you don't want to buy it though because I didn't find a
way to uninstall it. My HDD went bad anyway and I had to
reload Panther fresh on a new one.

I am still working on an answer and I will find it and let
you know. Pleae reciprocate if you find anything.

Thanks,
Walt

If SBS is 2003 then maybe the SMB signing is the problem. This article
doesn't mention MACs but it could still be the same issue.

Just taking a "stab" at it...

You have to use SMB with server 2000 and 2003.
You can not connect to a Domain controller.
You can only connect to a member server.
