Networking across PC and Mac

Can any Guru out there tell me how easy (or difficult) it is to run a Mac on
a Windows based network? Or whether I have posted this in the right
newsgroups?
I have a PC, Laptop and a Pocket PC running through a router, and I have
just acquired an old Mac. I would like to network the Mac into the system as
well, to use as a design tool.

There is NG microsoft.public.win2000.macintosh.
The main component you need is a common protocol either TCP/IP or AppleTalk.

So, theoretically, I should be able to plug the Mac into my Router, and
Bob's your Uncle? With a bit of jiggery pokery it should work? I run Win XP,
and, In think, Mac OS 8 or 9

If you don't have OSX on the Mac, you'll need something like PCMacLan (if
it's still available) or DAVE if you want to share files/printers/whatnot.

I belive it is possible. Just set your Mac to connect to TCP\IP networks and
get the Mac version of the drivers for your router. Also try going to the
configuration screen of your router.
