Networked media player with extra network ports?

HI all,

I'm in the market for a networked media player to play music and video
files from my PC through my TV and hifi in the front room. I want to use
cable rather than wireless networking but I have no spare ethernet ports
on my router and I already have one ethernet cable going round to the
back of the TV for my VoIP box, so I want to try and get a media box
with a couple of ethernet "through-ports" if they exist.

Any suggestions?

If they are in the same room save yourself a fortune and get a lead from the
PC to the amplifier. Then get yourself a jukebox program.

I have a 10mbps hub, will that be up to the job? The only other option
would be to unplug the playstation 2, which I hardly ever use online to
be fair.

I want to play movies as well as music. They aren't in the same room
either.

Should be fine for audio; I had trouble in the past with video over a
10Mbit/s network despite a data rate of under 2Mbit/s (it was a buffering
issue - a different player was fine).

The hub is definitely worth a try, but if you have problems, swapping it for
a 100Mbit/s hub or switch will almost certainly solve them.
