MY NETWORK:
I have a 6 computer peer-to-peer nework. All computer all
computers running win95 or 98 and all computers can browse
to the shared folders of the other computers and access
the internet.

MY PROBLEM:
Computer #3 can't access the internet (DNS eror web page
not available). But does have access to all the local
resources (folders and printers)on the LAN. I have
reinstalled Win98 with no change. I have done a route
print and all looks normal. Any Ideas?

Do you have DHCP or static IP on the PC that can't access the internet?
Check the TCP/IP properties of the nic - i.e. IPCONFIG /ALL and find out
where your DNS is going. Can you ping anything outside of your PTP LAN?

Yes DHCP is enabled, and it does get a proper IP address.
Yes the DNS entry is correct also. I can't ping anything
out side the LAN(ie www.yahoo.com or 216.109.118.67). I
will check pinging inside the LAN. I assumed I could
because I could browse to all the LAN resourses.
