Network two Windows 2003 Servers peer to peer

Hi all, I have Windows 2003 on a laptop and a desktop and I want to network
them together peer to peer for simplicity. I'm not interested in setting up
a domain at this point.

Can anyone offer any tips on how to get the communication going?

I have setup IP addresses and can ping from one server to the other both
ways but when I try to browse the other's hard drive I cannot get through.

I got it. I just needed to make sure I had passwords for the Administrator
which previously I didn't.
