Hi,

I would like to ask a newbie question here.

In Redhat 7.3, where is the network service configuration file? I
guess it should be xinetd.conf. But where I could change the TCP
timeout setting? I am unable to find the right entry in xinetd.conf.

Thanks for reply,

You can change the TCP parameters on the fly in /proc/sys/net/ipv4. Beyond
those, you need to re-compile the kernel.
