I think that you're needlessly concerned, Tman. Connect the computers
to the router, which will automatically assign them the right IP
addresses. They'll be able to share files and printers with each
other and also use the shared Internet connection.
The router itself has two IP addresses: a WAN (Internet) address
assigned by your ISP for communicating with the Internet, and a LAN
(local area network) address for communicating with the computers.
