I just bought a 4port wireless router. I need to know how
I can network my three pcs through the router. I want to
share inet connectiona and be able to share files. I know
about protocols and ip adresses. BUt with a router, the ip
addresses just mess up the inet right? I have 2 pcs linked
directly from the router and one witha wirelss card.

I think that you're needlessly concerned, Tman. Connect the computers
to the router, which will automatically assign them the right IP
addresses. They'll be able to share files and printers with each
other and also use the shared Internet connection.

The router itself has two IP addresses: a WAN (Internet) address
assigned by your ISP for communicating with the Internet, and a LAN
(local area network) address for communicating with the computers.

You're welcome. Assign the same workgroup name and a unique computer
name to each computer. Configure the TCP/IP protocol to obtain an IP
address automatically. Enable File and Printer Sharing. Right click
and share any desired disks, folders, and printers. Look for the
other computers in Network Neighborhood.
