I got a computer from a workplace which was once hooked
up to a network connection, and it isn't anymore, because
i have it. How do i cancel the log in screen and get ont
he computer using windows 98?

If it's asking for a domain network logon, you remove that by right-clicking
the Network Neighborhood icon on the desktop, then highlighting "Client for
Microsoft Networks" and selecting properties, then removing the checkmark
from the box to log into an NT Domain.
