Network should be shown in Device Manager

I was told that I should check DM under Network folder and see if my card is
there. I never thought about that. I did install my card, but it does not
appear in DM. Is that why i can't "open" my other computer's files, although
its shown in Network Neighborhood? Why doesn't my adapter show up in DM? All I
can do is type 'Install" and hope it does the rest.
