network share/login error

Half of our employees at this location are able to login
and access our main software share from our Windows 2000
server just fine. However, the other half are getting the
error message:

Logon Failure: The target account name is incorrect.

I've rebooted the server, I've tried ipconfig /renew on
all machines. I've tried disconnecting the mapped drives
on the clients and re-mapping the connection
(unsuccessful). I've found the Microsoft KB article about
promoting domains causing this problem, but this is just
everyday use of a mapped drive. Any ideas????

Could also be due to duplicate SIDs if you didn't sysprep your rollout.
