Hi,

I setup a WorkGroup for 3 computers... All computers use the same
workgroup but on one computer there is no way to browse the network
and access to the two other computer

The config is WindowsXP Home with all the updates. I use the same
username/password and workgroup on all computers. The computer can
connect to the internet just like the other computer throug the
router. The network connection is a wireless connection. All
firewall disabled

Symptom : When I try to browse the network or access to other
computer
with \\OtherComputerName it return an error

- The difference when doing ipconfig /all is :
Node Type = Unknown
NetBios over TCPIP = Desactivated
- Ping other computer name is not working BUT I CAN ping IP adress
(ex: 192.168.2.45)
- NetBios is activated in the network connection (properties->TCPIP-
>Properties->Advanced->Wins)

- The user is administrator on the computer
- Suppose to be XP Home with default parameters...
- Look like i cant activate/desactivate simple file sharing for some
reasons (not available in the View tab of folder option dialog)

I really need help...i'm trying to fix this since month (dont know
how
many hours I lost on this)

Thanks

Browsing will not work if Netbios over TCP/IP is not active. Enable it
from the properties of the network card. (Internet protocol properties |
advanced | WINS tab).

The options is disabled (grayed)...but it's checked... the weird thing
