Network setup help

I have a home network that consists of 1) a Fedora Core 2 machine, 2) a
Mac PowerBook and 3) a LinkSys router. I am trying to add another FC2
machine to that network for the purpose of storing backups from my other
two systems.

This new machine has a very basic FC2 installation. No X server is on it
so I do not have access to any of the GUI network interfaces. The
network interface/device eth0 is up and running but when I try pinging
or ssh'ing one of the other machines I get a "no route to destination"
message. After poking around a bit I discovered that the machine
I am trying to add has no ifcfg-eth0 in the
/etc/sysconfig/networking/devices or
/etc/sysconfig/networking/default/profiles directories. I'm pretty sure
this is my problem but I do not know how to create them. I am assumning
that on the other FC2 machine the ifcfg-eth0 file was created by the
GUI interfaces when I set it up for the network. Is this assumption
correct? How do I create these files and any others I may need to get
the new machine talking to the others?

thanks.
