my server have get virus (PIGLET). before i clean the virus, i disabled
network card. And then i clean the virus, after that i enabled network card.
But, the network failed (the status is ENABLED). I have test the network by
ping command but the result is "destination host unreacheable".
From NETWORK SAFE MODE the network can active normally.
For your information: my server is AD and my windows service pack 2 (SP2)
has been installed. If i uninstalled SP2 the network is normal, but
ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS have error message when i clik on it (i forgot which
one).
can somebody help me to solve this problem ? if you can to chat to me please
let me know at (E-Mail Removed)

Hello,

i can't find any virus named with piglet.. Can you provide more info ?

The service pack 2 has some network issue.

For the administrative tools, it came from the MMC 3.0. You may install it
alone from here:

Hello Mathieu,
I think for update MMC 3.0 is good idea,i will try that. But I have another
problem with this server.
Now the server is working without SP2,but if i want to create another DC
appeared error "Ensure that the DNS domain name is typed correctly. The error
was "DNS name does not exist" (error code 0x0000232B RCODE_NAME_ERROR)." I
try to check DNS service,is running.
I try ping server from another machine with dns name no problem.
Do you think this problem have correlation with SP2?
Thankiu for your response

does the future DC you are promoting have the existing one as primary dns
server ?

Do you type the FQDN name (mydomain.com for example) ?
