Network problems after adding a bluetooth module?

Wonder if anyone can help me, I have the following problem.

I have a network running with the IP 172.16.16.1 to 254, and I have recently
added a bluetooth mobule (USB) to the system.

The bluetooth adapter set itself up automatically and has assigned an IP
address of 192.168.50.1 to itself...

I am using a software program called IP Mon, which monitors the IP address
of the system every 5 minutes and log/reports a change by email.

Heres the problem. Since installing the bluetooth device, IP Mon regularly
suggests it cannot resolve the IP address of the network, despite me
selecting the correct network card it has always used. It all used to work
fine before I added the bluetooth module.

Does anyone know if I have it set up correctly? Or infact how I might iron
out the problems?

Thanks

What operating system are you using, I think XP normally assigns a
network address of 169

Sounds like the IVT Bluesoliel stack. Is it not possible to change the
PAN IP from the bluetooth software?
