Network Printing

Having a tough time getting the Win ME to print on a
wireless network running XP on the main computer. My
Network Places shows "shareddocs on ....." but will not
connect. Installed Epson printer to the following port:
\\name of computer\printer name. Driver showing is
correct. It will try to print but says printer not
connected to network. Amateur, but can follow
directions. Help!

Check the shared printer name and computer name on the XP computer. If the
XP computer's name is longer than 14 characters or contains spaces or
non-alphanumeric characters (only 0-9, A-Z should be used) or if the printer
name is longer than 12 characters or has non-alphanumeric characters you may
have problems.

Also be sure that the User tool in the Control Panel has a user with the
same name (and password, if one is used) that you start the WindowsMe
computer up with.
