WorkstationA has an HP printer attached via LPT1.
ServerA (linux) has been hitherto providing access to the
printer to other workstations. ServerA is now being
replaced with ServerB (WinServer2K3).
ServerB has the network printer installed and can print to
it. Sharing for the network printer is set up, and in the
Active Directory Computer listing, the printer shows
up "shared" along with all the shared directories.
However, workstations on the same domain cannot see the
printer as an option when trying to add new printers.
WorkstationB can see the two network printers that are
managed by ServerB, but it cannot see the HP printer
managed by WorkstationA and shared by ServerB.
If my description makes any sense, I would greatly
appreciate any pointers regarding how to resolve this
matter.
