I get the message that the network path was not found. I got around that
issue for the time being by just navigating to the server and connect to them
that way.
What I have though, I think, is a bigger issue with DNS. I had DNS and AD
setup on our Win2k3 Server and was getting all kinds of DNS errors but for
the most part, everything was running ok. A few slow connections here and
there. I did not setup the server, though, as I did not work here at the
time, so I was here working on some other stuff this last weekend and thought
that I would just "redo" DNS was I was here.
Since then, I am having more issues. Everything for the most part is
working. The network is a little slower and users are complaining more about
login times being slow and a few are having issues where they are having to
reboot once a day.
What I am wondering is where to go from this point. Is there hope of
salvaging my AD and getting DNS back up and running? Or would the best
course of action be to scrap AD and DNS and start over with both? I guess I
didn't realize just how close AD and DNS work together. I would prefer not
to have to redo AD but it wouldnt be the end of the world (I dont think) as
there are only about 50 or so users...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
