network printer

I am trying to add a printer on my home network using a
printer server. Whne I try to add a printer in the Add
printer wizard I don't get an option of network versus
local printer. what's up??

If the printer is physically connected to the machine, select Local printer.
If the printer is physically connected to another amchine on the network,
select Network printer.
In you case, since the printer is connected to a print server, select
Network Printer and then type in the printer name in the form of
\\printservername\printername
