network permissions error

This one has me confounded. I have two 2003 Servers. One is a DC the other is
a member server. Both are fully patched. There is a directory on the member
server that will not allow me to copy any files to it. Error: Access is
Denied. The file sharing permissions have full control granted to Everyone.
THe folder security settings are the same. There are no specific Deny
permissions set anywhere. What have I done to try and solve the problem:

I added users to the specific permit with full control category and still
cannot copy files there.

I tried to delete the directory and recreate it. I cannot delete the
directory because it contains an ISO file that reports "In Use By ANother
User", even if I boot the server to Safe Mode, that file cannot be moved or
deleted.

I removed the server from the domain and rejoined.

I used the domain admin account to take ownership of the directory and all
its subs and files, and then reapplied permissions. No effect.

Rebooted all the machines (of course).

Can anyoen give me a course of actin to find out what is causing this? Thanks!

I should say, I AM able to copy files to it locally. I can also browse to the
network and copy network files into that directory as long as I am doing it
from that server.
