Network new vista system into existing lan with 98se computers

Can computers with different operating systems (Vista home premium and 98se)
see each other (share files, etc) and share printers on the same 10baseT
local area network?

If so, how does one configure windows home vista to accomplish this?

They should be able to see each other, provided they're in the same workgroup.
