I have been having problems with either my network or network shares i was
hopeing someone out ther ecold maybe shed some light on my issues that i am
having.
I am running 2 Windows 2000 server sp4 they are both DC's I have another
Windows 2000 server acting as a file server this is where all there network
shares are mapped to. there drives get mapped with a logon script that is
assigned through active directory. Mostly all the workstations are Windows
2000 sp4 and a handful of XP sp2.
Problem 1.
It seems that the network drives are disconnecting randomley throught the
day. If you open there my computer the shares have red x's on them most of
the time when you double click them the x will go away but sometimes it wont.
Problem 2.
We have certain workstations that do not have a default gateway so that they
cannot access the internet. the problem i am having with these workstatons is
that someitmes when they logon there logon script will not run and then the
drives are unaccessable. I will have to log out and log back in and it may
take a couple of times before the logon script actually runs.
I think that these may be related but i am not sure that is why i listed
both of them.
I have already changed the autodisconnect and nothing happened.
