I have a host machine running XP, and client running
Windows 98. The XP machine recognized the 98 machine, but
in Network Neighborhood, I can't get the 98 machine to
recognize the XP machine. All it has after MSHOME is the
98 machine folder. What did I do wrong?

Also, as this is a wireless nework, do I need a firewall
on the client machine, or does the host firewall cover
me? Thanks

I had the same problem this weekend when I tried to set
up my wireless network. Disabling the firewall on both
the host and client machine (including XP Firewall on the
local network connection) solved the problem. If the
host XP machine has a firewall running, the 98 client
won't see it. If your wireless system connects to the
internet through a router that contains a built-in
firewall, you may not need a software firewall running on
either machine. Check with you router specs or technical
support.
