I think that the apostrophe may be your culprit. Have you tried creating a
SSID of 12345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890 123456789? That
would prove whether or not you can stuff more than 32 characters. After
that, it's either a fixed limitation on your particular router/device, or
you're giving it invalid characters.
