Network Monitor Server 2003

Thanks for your help, in advance.

Running Windows Server 2003 SP1. Install Network Monitor basic. When
trying to attach to the LAN connection, I get an error message stating the
network is invalid. I've tried various policy and hardware settings to no
avail. This is in a classroom environment with brand new Dell Inspiron 6000
laptops and all have same problem. Google has not been helpful, so am
hoping someone here can assist.

The error when trying to connect to the LAN is:

"The specified network is invalid: <MAC address> Error: 0x80040005"

The MAC address is correct and the network is functioning.
