Hi,

We are taking up a new project and there will 25
Application servers and two Database Servers on SAN. To
operate a feature, We have to buy 25 Modems for all 23
App. Servers to provide FAX facility. i.e, the user can
forward his mails to a FAX machine. When ever he users the
FAX Forward Option, the application uses fax API's and
will use the Local modem to deliver the FAX to the
Destination FAX machine using the MS FAX service. We want
to avoid using 25Modems as it is a costly affair. Are
there any IP based modems available? so that I can buy one
or two such modems and connect one end to the Ethernet
Switch and the Other End to a Telephone Line.

My query may look silly. but I want to cut down the
project costs.. any Other Ideas are also appreciated to
achive the Goal.

GOAL: To use Microsoft FAX API from VC++ Application and
deliver a document to any FAX machine.

SOLUTION AT PRESENT: Use seperate modems for all servers
which is a costly affair.

ANY OTHER SOULTIONS: ???

Regards

Chip
