Network ME to XP- logging on

I ran a direct cable connection between my new XP and my
ME. It worked fine, but if one of the computers gets
turned off, the ME looses its connection to the XP as it
states its not logged on to the network. (XP can still see
ME though). I don't use internet on either of these
systems and with only one user, I don't use any logging on
features/passwords. If I run the networking wizard on the
ME again, it will reconnect to the XP. I just think there
must be an easier way to keep connected than run the
wizard each time I turn off/on a system.

try running the networking wizzard from the XP cd on the
ME system. if that doesn't work try logging off on the ME
system and then you should get connected.
