Network Load Balancing with file Servers...

Dear all...

Could someone give me a brief expalnation on the following question please?

I am looking for a network Load Balancing solution for our file servers. Our
users access this servers over the network shares through the normal drive
mapping. Is there any possibility to implement Network Load Balancing on
these file servers, without having to use any other application, IE: FTP, web
sharing etc. Just looking for a way to provide this solution without having
to make many changes on the way things are at the moment, simply Load
balancing shared folders access.

check DFS of windows 2003 R2,have a good consolidation of sharings.

NLB alone is not a solution for file servers. You will need a shared storage
to make a clustered file server.

DFS is a good solution for consolidating, organizing and replicating file
shares but it might not be what you want.
