Network Load Balancing error

When we reboot SBS 2k3 Standard server, "Preparing Network Connections"
portion takes a long time. Event viewer shows Service Control Manger event ID
7000, with msg that NLB Service failed to start due to.... We have 2 NICs,
one disabled at the moment. Neither has this service installed, have looked
in Services and in msconfig for reference to NLB Service, cannot find
anywhere. Have gone into NLB Mgr, no clusters set up or anything. What is
causing this error and what can I do to speed up boot? TIA, Lynn

Do you have a APC UPS connected running software 6.xx?

Yes on the APC UPS, no on the software. Not running APC s/w, using USB and
UPS Service.
