Network Key does not work

When using the windows utility with my NetGear WiFI Ma401 PCMCIA Adapter
Card and when I want to write the network password, I receive a message
saying "The network password must be 40 bits or 104 bits according to your
network configuration... " and I am not able to connect.

I know that the Wifi router is using WPA-PSK.

Any help will be appreciated.

All hardware on the wireless network must be able to use the same encryption
scheme. It sounds like your wireless adapter (in the computer) isn't
capable of WPA-PSK. Check on Netgear's tech support site for your model
card. If this is the case, you'll need to change the router's encryption to
the older encryption of WEP.

You are right. I download the WPA hotfix for Windows XP.
The hotfix said that the MA401 card is not compatible.
