network keeps disconnecting.

My home network keeps disconnecting.

I have two computers both running window xp home edition
Both computers have a belkin pci wireless adapter

I use the peer to peer option and Windows to run the network.

The computers are only 6 metres apart and there are no obstructions in the
way.

My problem is when i start to play a multiplayer game after about 10mins of
playing it just disconnects sometimes i can play for hours and sometimes i
can only play for about 3mins before it disconnects.

Anyone know why this is happening?
