hello all,

Ive got a problem that ive been trying to solve for the past 4-5
months, with no progress. Just recently I began downloading a demo pc
game off of mIRC. When I begin downloading lets say at a rate of >
100 kbs its only a matter of time when my internet goes out. When I
mean out, I simply lose internet, zero internet, I cant even access
the other computers on my network. The wierd thing is, if I download
using the "Save target as" or using Download Accelerator plus (with
speeds of well over 200-300 kbs) it works fine.

Any help is appreciated

That's a wierd problem alright. Only thing that comes to mind is the MTU size.
Can you try reducing it until the problem goes away?

If it not the gateway computer and you are accessing internet through a LAN
and you have a local firewall installed, it may be that your ISP is
attempting to ping (and cannot) and is finding that there is no "connection"
and is therefore disconnecting.

Just a thought.
