Hello All,
I am using a laptop with Windows XP Media Center preinstalled. Now I want
to connect the same laptop to a Domain at my company. But when I move to
change the name of the laptop and the domain details what I found is the
critical tab of "Network Id" is disabled, which doesnt allow me to change
any information regarding the computer name and the domain details.

So what should i do ? Help me out !!!!!

XP Media Center is based on Home edition. You can't join Home edition to a
Domain, only Professional.

You are right about not joining a domain, but he CAN change the computer
name if he wanted to as long as he is logged on with administrative
credentials. If that is not available, then I would assume he is not logged
on with administrative credentials.
