Network Everywhere NWR04B Problem

Today I bought a Network Everywhere Wireless Router (NWR04B) from FutureShop
for an extremely good price (after some rebates). I have two desktop
computers and a laptop (all using WinXP) that I wanted to share one internet
connection. I hooked up the two desktop systems with cable to the router
(which has 4 ports for wired) and set up the laptop to use the wireless
connection.

I went through the admin menus and set everything up the way I wanted it and
thought I was good to go. For some reason the router suddenly stops working.
I can't get on the internet with any of my machines, I can't access files to
share, and I can't even access the admin menu on the router. Nothing, even
though all the LEDs on the router are showing that all is OK.

I have reset the router countless times, gone through all of the options,
installed the latest firmware, and done all I can think of. The router will
work anywhere from 1 - 20 minutes after being reset (at which point I can do
everything I should be able to do) before it will stop working again.

What can I do? I have no idea anymore...

Cliffnotes:

1. Bought a
[http://www.wireless-index.com/wirele...here_nwr04b_wi
reless-b_access_point_router/].
2. Set it up and everything is fine.
3. Suddenly, no internet access, no file-sharing, and no access to admin
menu from any of the wired or wireless systems on router.
4. Tried everything including new firmware.
5. Works for 1 - 20 minutes after being reset, but stops working again.
6. Need help before I go nuts.

I brought the NWR04B and also experienceing router to hang, but i
found out that only windows XP computer reboots hangs the router, my
guess was the UPNP.
so i turn off the UPNP on the router,i tested couple of reboot, it is
working now, but i dont know for how long. It seem to have the same
menu as Linksys bsfr411 router, as also future shop advertise that it
is made by linksys. linksys seem to make good product i guess.

I bought the exact same one at Future Shop today. I can connect to the
internet for 30 seconds max and then I get disconnected. This problem is
frustrating beyond belief, it is all over the net without a concrete answer.
I went to the website to get the latest firmware and the firmware on the
website is older than the firmware that the router came with!

I tried the UPNP but that was already disabled.

This "product" is the epitome of, "you get what you pay for".

After hours of frustration, I am going to return it tomorrow, it just isn't
worth it.

You guys, I bought this Piece Of Shit NWR04B back in March from
Futureshop and return once within a week and now about 6 months in use.
The second router I got keep stalling every 10-15 mins recently, used to
be occasion like once or twice a day. (Stall like no response to the web
setup by typing 192.168.1.1 in IE, pressing reset button on the back no
effect, reflash the damn firmware and actually nothing happened, custom
config still there).

So I called up linksys for an RMA, same shit, the firmware at 1.03 is the
same shit as the one I got as 1.02 which I bought in March, so called
their RMA department again and demand the upgrade to different product.
The first time of the RMA wasn't allowed of an upgrade but the second RMA
was sucessful with a Linksys brand BEFW11S4 V3.2, just need to pay USD$15
for the upgrade.

The UPnP indeed not working coz it appear the very first time I config my
XP to use the UPnP feature, then not appear in the Local connection
anymore. But my BEFW11S4 stay up in the local connection windows. so I
guess you guys who stuck with the stupid NWR04B, refund it asap, if not
call up linksys and demand an upgrade to Linksys BEFW11S4, don't get
version 4 coz lots of bad review for their 1.44 firmware.
