Hello
I work for a company and I got a strange problem this morning

At the login, we got the following message

"Restoring Network Connection
Microsoft Windows Network : the local device name is already in use
This connection has not been restored

On a computer, all account have 3 network drives (E: F: G: ) with th
little red "X" on them. Our old drive who were on these lettre
don't work anymore. At the place, if I double-click on one drive, i
go to a specific folder on the network. I cannot disconnect them (
tried by the icon and by the command line)

If I do a "net use" it don't see the 3 drives

I also take a look at the registre and I don't see script or somethin
like that

Do somebody have a solution for me ?? I'm on it since 3 hours :cry

Thanks but I already known this thing and this is not the problem.
The problem is that every user on the computer have now these networ
drives and the computer don't see these drives anymore

I can't use these 3 drives but the computer don't see that they ar
used (with the net use command). I cannot redirect them. I canno
disconnect them.

(I forgot to mention that the computer is on Windows 2000 with SP4

Hey Guinan, were the drives mapped using a logon script or manually on each
machine? If you try to disconnect them, what happens?
